Student Exchange Program between CSULB and Queen's University, Northern Ireland
In 1999, I prepared a Cooperative Agreement for and Student Exchange with Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Queen's University is perhaps one of the most prestigious universities in Europe with regard to studies in Archaeology and Ecology. Our students will have a chance to spend up to one year studying in Northern Ireland, and all credits taken at Queen's University will apply to their degree at CSULB. The program allows faculty at each institution the opportunity to visit, teach, and conduct research for one year under the exchange program agreement, with salaries and housing provided. The program was strongly endorsed and approved by the International Scholars Program at CSULB. The scholars at Queen's University that are involved in this program are eminent in their respective fields and have published prolifically in their research domains. At present, I am negotiating a joint program for archaeological research with Queen's University in Northern Ireland. Next year we should have an exchange program with this great institution of higher learning.
