2000 Organized and Developed NAGPRA Collection Room and Facilities for the preservation and management of archaeological collection housed at California State University, Long Beach. This effort involved a considerable amount of my time during the summer.

NAGPRA Policy Committee, 1992-present

1993-present Inventory and evaluation of the Department's artifact collections. This activity involves considerable planning, equipment purchases, the training of laboratory assistants, and a variety of related administrative tasks.

CSULB School of Liberal Arts:

Member, ICP-MS Studies Program. We discuss issues, program planning, curriculum, and undergraduate and graduate programs and ICP-MS studies.

Member, Environmental Studies Program. Appointed by Dean Abrahams, 1995-present. We discuss issues, program planning, curriculum, and undergraduate and graduate programs. I was responsible for consulting with the School of Social Ecology at the University of California at Irvine. The result of my meetings with Daniel Stokols, Dean of Social Ecology, was the proposal of a joint Ph.D. Program with UCI (Appendix ). This program will be pursued when we have our Environmental Science Program in place.

Proposal preparation for Inter-Campus Archaeology Program. In the summer of 1995, I began informal discussions with a few colleagues on other campuses within the CSU system about the potential for an Intercampus Program in Archaeology.
