Archaeological Laboratory

Organization and development of undergraduate and graduate student research laboratory facilities. The archaeology labs at CSULB have one of the best equipped programs for geophysical field work, ICP-MS, and computer work in the entire country. We have excellent facilities for students to conduct independent research projects in the laboratory. To make all of this possible, I have spent a great deal of my time writing proposals, purchase orders, requisition orders, and communicating with vendors and specialists. Students in the archaeology program have use of the laboratory, access to computers, software, microscopes, scales, equipment, a research library, and lockers. Several students are presently using collections in the lab for undergraduate research and graduate thesis research. Furthermore, we maintain a clean and safe place for student research.
