Style: uses materials as metaphors for the bigger issue of maintaining equilibrium in terms of moral values; works the paradox of a floating device cast in a heavy material (bronze), which will force it to sink; My work is very involved with the tragedy of unachievable states of being. Part of a larger installation including aquarium tanks in which basketballs are suspended and posters of basketball stars selling out for commercial endorsements (see Dr. Dunkenstein).

Context: late capitalistic, consumer-oriented society in which it is difficult to maintain on's moral equilibrium.
