Frames
 


Before you take the plunge to frames, spend some time with beginners in the student labs. You will discover that they are endlessly confused with frames -- they don't understand the concept of an active frame and thus can't get the "back" button or "print" to work.

You can accomplish many of the same things by experimenting with tables, e.g., to put an index of your pages down the side of your page, as here.

If you decide to use frames, keep them clear and simple and remember that your framed page might open inside somebody else's framed page, making for some very small frame windows.
