UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS: You must submit a formal application and have your original transcripts sent to the University's Office of Admission and Records.DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS: In addition, you must also submit the following materials to the Criminal Justice Department, Graduate Coordinator:
Please Note: A file that is not complete will not be reviewed for entrance to the Graduate program.
- A photo copy of the application that you sent to Admissions and Records.
- Three letters of recommendation, addressed to the Graduate Coordinator, from persons who are in a position to evaluate your graduate potential.
- An official transcript showing a minimum 2.75 GPA in all undergraduate studies, and a 3.0 GPA in your major.
- A resume, describing your academic and work experience with dates.
- A written statement of your personal goals and objectives, approximately 400 typewritten words.
UNIT REQUIREMENT: Thesis/Project options for the Master's degree require 30 units. Course descriptions will be sent along with the Graduate Handbook.
DEADLINE FOR ADMISSION: All materials for Fall semester must be submitted by May 1st.
November 15th is the deadline for Spring admissions. FYI: CSIULB is on a semester schedule. Fall term
meets from end of August to mid December. Spring meets from end of January to mid May. Summer
Session meets from June to mid August. Winter Session meets from early January to mid January.
A Graduate Handbook will be mailed to qualifying applicants.
