During the first two years at CSULB the student should:

• Complete all General Education requirements (51 units)
• Take CRIM 101. Student must earn a grade of C higher. (3 units)

During the remaining time at CSULB the student should:

• Complete the upper division Criminal Justice requirements. (39 units)
• Take enough electives so the student has 124 units.

Note: Students who transfer to CSULB from a community college
must have completed at least 56 semester units. Seventy (70) units is the maximum that can be transferred from community colleges. It is recommended that Criminal Justice majors complete 70 units prior to transferring to CSULB if possible.

• Take a statistics course to meet the GE requirement in mathematics (if possible).
• Complete the lower division General Education requirements and be "G. E. Certified." (39 units)
• Take the equivalent course to CRIM 101 (3 units) (CAN AJ 2). Student must earn a grade of C or higher in CRIM 101.
• Major in Administration of Justice (recommended but not mandatory)

 
NOTE: Administration of Justice courses (with the exception of CRIM 101) are accepted by CSULB as lower division electives IF they are designated as CSU transferable by the college where the courses are taken.

• Complete the upper division Criminal Justice requirements (39 units)
• Complete the upper division General Education requirements (9 units)
• Take enough electives so the student has a total of 124 units.
