Requirements for
Minor
in Criminal Justice (Code 0-1031)
A minor in Criminal Justice requires a minimum
of 21 semester units of Criminal Justice courses.
- Students must have a 2.0 grade point average
for the 21 units in the minor.
- Every
required courses must be completed
with a grade of C or better.
- Students earning a grade below C in a
required course must repeat the course until a grade of C or
better is achieved.
- Required courses may not be taken Credit/No
Credit.
- Upper division courses are restricted
to students who have completed 60 semester units or more.
- At CSULB upper division courses are numbered
300 to 499.
- Equivalent courses from other colleges
and universities may be substituted for CSULB CRIM courses with
permission of the Criminal Justice Department Undergraduate Advisor.
- Lower division courses may NOT be substituted
for upper division courses.

UPPER
DIVISION CRIMINAL JUSTICE ELECTIVES -- 9 units
Students must take 9 additional units of
upper division CRIM courses. Any upper division CRIM class that is not
on the required course list can be used for this purpose.
- CRIM 499 Special Topics may be taken for
up to 9 units as long as a different topic is covered by each
class.
- CRIM 495 Internship may be used as an
elective.
