Don Sillings & Jerry Byrd
California State University, Long Beach (CSULB)

Don earned a BA (Latin & Italian) at CSULB and a MATESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the Monterey (CA) Institute of International Studies (MIIS).

Jerry is an emeritus faculty member at CSULB.

The year in Europe (97-98) was great fun. In 98/99 we crossed the southern US in our 35' Pace Arrow and Mercury Capri. From 1999-2001, we lived in Pacific Grove CA while Don attended MIIS. In 2002, we moved to Huntington Beach, CA and Don started teaching English as a Second Language. In the summer of 2002, our Italian friends (the Paoli) visited. In the summer of 2003, we vacationed in Italy. In winter of 2003/2004, we vacationed in Thailand.
