Hurrican Katrina Coverage Nets Pulitzers

Two Gulf Coast newspapers, the Times-Picayune (New Orleans) and the Sun Herald (Gulfport, Mississippi) were awarded Pulitzer Prizes (click on "What's New") for their coverage of Hurrican Katrina and its aftermath. Other newspapers which were awarded prizes include the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Rockey Mountain News.
