A Sad State of Affairs

In his column "Regarding Media," Los Angeles Times writer Tim Rutten examines the latest development in the Valerie Plame/Judith Miller affair; (the revelation that Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward was made aware of Plame's identity, in possible violation of federal law, and did nothing) and attempts to place President Bush's administration in a historical context as it relates to its relationship with the media.
