1) Textbook: College Physics, 7th Edition Vol(1) by Serway & Faughn (Required).
2) Student Solutions Manual and Study Guide: J.Gordon , C.Teague and R. Serway. (Required).
3) Scientific calculator: ($12 calculator with Sin,Cos,Tan and Inverse-Tan ).(Required).
4) Three Scantrons: (Required). Please do not fold or write anything on scantrons.
Grading: T=Mid x 30 % + Final x 40 % + Lab x 20 % + Hw x 10 %
Week 1: June 4- June 7, chapters 1-3.
Week 2: June 11- June 15, chapters 4-6.
Week 3: June 18- June 22, chapters 7-9.
Week 4: June 25- June 29, chapters 10-12. Midterm Exam: Chapters 1-6, Thurs, June 28.
Week 5: July 2- July 6, chapters 13-14.
Week 6: July 9, chapter 14. Final Exam: Thurs, July 12, 8:00-10:00.
Important:
1) Homework problems: It would be to your benefit to do your homework problems on your own.
2) Attendance in lecture class is strongly encouraged. (An attendance sheet is passed around at the beginning of each class period).
3) There will be no makeup for the midterm exam or the final exam. Exams cannot be taken earlier than the dates specified. You will get a zero grade for each missed exam. I only give a make up exam if your are sick or hospitalized. Doctor's note stating your medical reason for not taking the exam is required.
4) You are responsible for all changes announced in class, whether you are present or not.
5) Do not talk to anyone next to you during lectures
6) Do not make unnecessary noises to interrupt others from learning .
7) Please do not eat or drink during my lectures.
8) Please turn off your cellphone.
9) Sometimes I might joke around to lighten up the lecture. This is not an invitation for feed back from the class nor the time to draw attention to yourself.
10) Due to my allergy please do not use strong fragrances or heavy musks of any kind when you are near me.
