Graduate Programs in Court Administration

Both my personal web site and that of the Department of Criminal Justice contains links to various criminal justice employment agencies.  Few of those links, however, have information about jobs in court administration.  To help students who are interested in graduate programs in court administration, I have assembled the following set of links to graduate programs that should lead to one being highly competitive for an executive position in court administration upon completion of the master's degree.

The premiere court administration degree in the U.S. is the Masters of Science in Legal Administration at the University of Denver:

John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC offers the masters of public administration in criminal justice with a concentration in court administration. It is a great program that is very well respected:

American University in Washington, D.C. does not offer a masters in court administration per se, but it has one of the most respected public administration programs in the United States. It offers a wide variety of coursework relevant to judicial administration. Check out these links two links to see how their masters in justice, law, and society interplays with their masters in public administration:

Norwich University in Vermont offers a Master of Justice Administration that includes coursework relevant to court administration.

San Diego State University in CA offers an Masters of Public Administration degree with an emphasis in criminal justice administration:

The University of Nebraska at Lincoln offers a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a Public Administration concentration:

There may be other schools that offer the MPA with a court administration focus of which I am not aware, but this should be a good start. Hope this gives you some ideas. Happy reading.  If you find other programs with specialization in judicial processes/court administration, please e-mail the web address of the program so I can include a link to it on this page.  Thanks!
