Art 110 Section 3 - Extra CreditMuseum Guided Tours In addition to numerous extra-credit museum trips that you can take on your own, we'll have 3 trips that I'll provide "guided tour" narration for. Seeing as how you already get to listen to me blab twice a week as it is, perhaps the big question is, "why would you want to listen to yet more blabbing on your own time???" You might want to attend one of these guided tours because you want to go to as many museums as you possibly can, or because there's rumored free parking on guided tour days, or possibly even because you think there's a chance I'll say something really insightful that you might not have thought of browsing the museum on your own. All of these reasons are sweet, but probably the biggest reason to attend a guided tour trip is that they're the easiest E.C. in the whole class! For these 3 trips you don't have to submit any photos, and you don't have to write anything! All you have to do is show up to the museum with your clicker - click at the beginning and at the end for "attendance," and you've got your 10 points (per trip) of E.C. -- that's it! Note that these trips are all limited space, so it's first-come, first-served. We'll have sign-up sheets in class. If you don't get to go on as many of these trips as you want to, there's still lots of other museums on our E.C. sheet for you. The really important thing about these trips is: don't forget to bring your clicker! Obviously it would really suck a lot if you got 10 points of E.C. for the trip and then forgot your clicker the next class day and had to miss class points -- YECCCH! Tour at 3pm - you must sign-up in class - tour is limited to 20 people. The Getty Villa Field trip Wednesday, March 8th to the Getty Villa in Malibu. Tour at 1:00pm - you must sign-up in class - tour is limited to 25 people. The Getty Center Field trip Friday, April 21st to the Getty Center in Los Angeles. Tour at 2pm - you must sign-up in class - tour is limited to 25 people. |
