Fujimoto Tessellations
This page is filled with variations on tessellations invented by
Fujimoto. First, here are radial geometric tessellations that
turn out to be the ancestors of the Flower
Tower. In fact, a flower tower can be thought of as a
right-handed Fujimoto Flower folded on top of a left-handed Fujimoto
Flower. I learned this fold by mistake, attempting to follow Tom
Hull's written directions for a flower tower, but the results are just
a good either way. Here, I've strung them together through their
centers, and have gradually unfolded them so the mobile looks conical.
