Compact Isoarea 3D Tessellation
This tessellation is essentially an IsoArea variation on the Magic Carpet model by Alex
Ratner, although it is closer to Jared Needle's 3D IsoArea
Tessellation, which he identifies as being a variation on the
troublewit.
The basic difference here is that I start from a grid of equilateral
triangles.

This is an example of a naked model: the crease pattern is
visible from either of the two above views, keeping in mind that each
crease you see here came from an underlying triangular tessellation of
genderless creases. Enforcing mountain/valley as shown will give
the "open" images. The tricky part is getting the thing to
collapse into something with a profile of a 60 degree rhombus.
The model has a *twist* enforced during the collapse.
