Four-Flasher Tessellation

Here are four of Jeremy Shafer's "Simple isoarea flashers" from Origami to Astonish and Amuse folded into the same 12inch square piece of wrapping paper.  DON'T USE WRAPPING PAPER WHEN YOU DO THIS ... the colored side of the paper got all stuck together during wetfolding, and my flasher won't "flash" nicely.

The underlying "base" for the tessellation is an iso-area square twist tessellation.
Wetfolding, from a 12 inch square, the collapsed flasher just fits in a coffee mug.  Sprinkle with water, and then pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds of so until the paper is dry:

Collapsed:

Expanded:

It flashes, kind of here is an animation.

Success!  Using better paper, and lessambitious folds, a much better flasher results: better four-flasher.
