There are a number of sites available for students to access for step-by-step instructions in writing specific types of essays, research papers, newspaper articles, and letters.  The variety of the sites allows students to pick and choose what works for them.  The Five Paragraph Essay site offered by Geocities.com is quite different than the approach used by Purdue University.
