As you know, since January 1, 2002, the Euro (€ or EUR) has completely
replaced the Deutsche Mark (DM). There is an irrevocable conversion
rate: 1 € = 1,95583 DM. Thus, when you see an amount in DM, you
can divide the figure by two to get the approximate amount
in Euros. Thus, an expenditure of, say, DM 400 is roughly € 200
(to be exact, 204 Euros and 52 (Euro-)cents).
By the way, in English you say "204 Euros" and "52
cents" (using plural forms of the denominations), but in German
you should say "200 Euro" und "52 Cent" without
plurals!
