ACTIVITY 3

In the following activities you'll be looking into the publisher's list of German publisher "DTV" (Deutscher Taschenbuch Verlag).
All texts and images are taken from either the editor's catalogue or the editor's website http://www.dtv.de.

You will practice mainly three things:

1.
Guess the content of the books by using reading strategies.
2.
Identify noun phrases.
Since you're just beginning to work with noun phrases, you'll work on the level of the simple noun phrase
such as
article + noun
das Internetradio
article + adjective + noun
das deutschsprachige Internetradio
adverb + adjective + noun
neu formatierte Disketten
etc.
Some of these simple noun phrases form complex ones. You may disregard that fact for now.
3.
Finally, you'll pratice identifying adjectives by their location between the article and the noun.
