(1) Wirtschaft: Handel (2) Deutschland war 1998 nach den USA der 2.größte Exporteur der Welt. (3) Es exportierte Waren im Wert von 955 Milliarden DM und importierte Waren im Wert von 828 Milliarden DM, hatte also einen Ausfuhrüberschuss von 127 Milliarden DM. (4) Exportiert werden vor allem Autos, Maschinen, chemische und elektrotechnische Produkte, Nahrungsmittel, Textilien, Eisen und Stahl, Luft- und Raumfahrzeuge, Metall- und Kunststofferzeugnisse. (5) Deutschland ist nach Japan der 2. größte Autoexporteur der Welt. (6) Importiert
werden vor allem Gemüse, Obst, Südfrüchte, Kaffee,
Tee, Kakao, Rohstoffe, (7) Insbesondere muss Deutschland fast alle wichtigen Rohstoffe, wie z.B. Erdöl, Erdgas und Eisen, teilweise oder vollständig importieren (...).(8) Zu den größten Rohöllieferanten Deutschlands zählen Großbritannien, Norwegen und Russland. (9) Pro Jahr werden Rohstoffe im Wert von über 32 Milliarden DM importiert; der Wert der exportierten Rohstoffe beträgt nur etwa 7 Milliarden DM. (10) Die wichtigsten Handelspartner Deutschlands sind die westlichen Industrieländer. (11) Vor der Vereinigung spielte auch der deutsch-deutsche Handel eine wichtige Rolle.
