Prereading information
The following text is about a website that promotes shareware.

  1a)

To work with the following text, please take three steps:

  • Print the text so that you can easily navigate within it.
  • Underline all words or word fragments, such as international words, cognates, and similar words, that you already know.
  • Underline in a different color all capitalized words, which will usually be nouns

Das Software-Archiv "Winload" bietet über 1000 Programmen zum Downloaden. Die meisten Programme sind von deutschsprachigen Autoren. Es gibt insgesamt 17 Kategorien, die von Antivirus bis Utilities reichen. Alle Programme sind nach Name, Version, Hersteller-Homepage, Dateigröße, Sprache, Betriebssystem und Lizenz sortiert.
