Profile

California State University Long Beach (CSULB), a metropolitan campus of 34,000 students, has an accredited American Dietetic Association Dietetic Internship (DI). The DI is accredited by the Commission on Dietetics Registration, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, phone: 312-899-4876.

The DI originates in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences in the College of Health and Human Services.

The DI combines graduate coursework with a field experience and after the Intern completes the performance requirements of the field experience, then she/he can take the national registration exam. Passing the national exam means placing the R.D. or Registered Dietitian credential after your name.
