Thorium in Cellular Vacuoles (c)

Micrographs showing numerous vacuoles containing accumulations of thorium 
dioxide particles. The vacuoles occur in the cytoplasmic extensions of the 
cells in the renal epithelium and can contain either fluids or a ground matrix 
of moderate electron density.
