Beach Pride:
• Encourage attendance and support for campus athletic events
• Spread awareness about the Arts and encourage students to experience on-campus events
• Improve communication by introducing information centers in every college and by sending regular periodic updates about ASI to the student body via e-mail
• Boost recognition and assistance for campus Organizations, Fraternities, and Sororities
Environmental Improvements:
• Build an infrastructure for our 37-year-old Recycling Center
• Promote environmental awareness through increasing the number of recycling bins and partner with campus environmental groups
Academic Progress:
• Improve graduation and retention rates
• Restructure the University 100 course to better inform students of university resources
• Change perception of advising and improve advising systems
• Ensure student access to advanced technology inside and outside of classrooms
• Lobby with students at other Cal State Universities to fight tuition increases
Campus Services:
• Support student safety programs such as R.A.D. and Active Minds
• Extend ESCORT service hours
• Provide better lighting around the campus to ensure students’ safety
• Provide ATM-supported vending machines across campus
Honest Dialogue:
• Establish direct relationships with students
• Support emerging programs
• Advocate for the underrepresented student body
