Chapters from The City: Los Angeles and Urban Theory at the End of the Twentieth Century (Allen Scott and Edward Soja, eds.) are available in two forms.

1. To find it, do search in coast catalogue: Keyword “The City: Los Angeles and urban theory at the end”
Or by the second part (Los Angeles and urban theory at the end..", search by “The City” fails for some reason.

2. Then select of the two options the computer file.

3. The program would not allow you to print this out beyond first page.


B. It seems that this materials still will be available on reserve as .pdf files on Tue.

1. Go to www.coast.library.com

2. From the front page, click on "Search for Reserve Material".

3. Then, find the instructor's name in the scroll down list.

4. The password was given in class on Monday, email me if you need to be reminded.

5. Select appropriate chapter.   It is in pdf format, so you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.  It is available for free from www.adobe.com/acrobat.

6. Print out "As Image" to avoid software problems.

7. Read it and respond in the usual manner -- summary, opinion, essay questions.
 (the same way as previously on reserve, protected by password).
