Create a Library Account: You will need a library account (PIN) to search databases and online journals from a remote location, use inter-Library Loan services (Illiad), see what materials are checked out to you and sign up for a computer in the Spidell Technology Center.

Major Databases in Engineering The CSULB Library subscribes to over 100 databases and online journal articles covering all disciplines-for a complete alphabetical list please see http://www.csulb.edu/library/eref/eref.html . The databases listed below are the major ones in engineering. Use these databases to locate articles in scientific, technical and trade journals, magazines and technical reports. Trade journals are particularly important to engineering since they offer a wealth of information on products, company and industry information, business trends and job opportunities.
