Objective:
This is an introductory course in the art and craft of portfolio website design. The students will create his/own personal website, and learn techniques in displaying their work on the web and other media.

Requirements:
The student will purchase Macromedia Dreamweaver MX.
The student is expected to attend all classes. If the student misses more than three classes with unexcused absences, his/her grade will be lowered one step from the final evaluated grade for each additional day missed. An excused absence is defined in the CSULB University Catalog.
Projects turned in after the due date will not be accepted unless for compelling reasons.
Exam and project dates are subject to change.

Evaluations:
The student will be evaluated by the following:
Midterm Website Project: 30%
Final Project: 30%
Class Participation: 30%
Attendance: 10%

Week 3 - Developing a Site - Uploading and Downloading

Week 4- Developing a Home Page and Template

Week 5 - The Navigation Bar - Creating Custom Buttons

Week 6- Page Links, Email Links, and Page Navigation
Home Page and Template Due for Project #1

Week 7 - Text and Photo Manipulation
Linked Page(s) Due for Project #1

Week 8- Project #1 In-class Work

Week 9 - Project #1 Presentations

Week 10 - Project #2 Design Team Responsibilities - Design Ideas

Week 11 - Project #2 Home Page Development and Links
