Pherecydes wrote that Hecabe was the daughter of Dymas, son of Eioneus, son of Proteus, or the daughter of the river-god Sangarius and the Naiad nymph Evagora;

Another editor of the scholion,
Luetke, cited in Jacoby's Fragmenta Historicorum Graecorum vol. 1, p. 95
suggests, "son of Eioneus(but some say of Cisseus), son of Proteus or of the river Sangarius"?
