Liber tricked Agdestis into castrating himself.  Where the earth received his blood and 
genitalia, a pomegranate tree sprang up. Nana, the daughter of Sangarius, plucked 
some fruit and placed it into her bosom; the fruit vanished,
and Nana turned out to be pregnant; she gave birth to a son, later called Attis.
