Using slogans beneficial move by A.S.I. candidates

Ken Hanson really needs to think about what he is saying before he prints it in the Daily Forty-Niner. The fact that he is disrespecting Garcia's use of popular slogans and movie posters for his campaign is absurd!

If Ken were as smart as he claims, he would have realized that Garcia is not the only person doing that.

Ken, do I need to remind you that Toby Sexton's campaign utilizes popular slogans as well?

So far I have seen posters that say: "Pretty fly for a white guy," the title of an Offspring song; "Yo Quiero Toby," which is from a Taco Bell ad; and my personal favorite, which features Smokey from Ice Cube's movie "Friday."

Hello!

If you've missed those posters, where the heck have you been?

Just because people use popular campaign slogans does not mean that they are, as you said, "despicable and pathetic."

It means that they are resourceful and know a good thing when they see it, which apparently you can't comprehend.

Our current president, Christy Zamani, used "Show me Zamani!" from the movie "Jerry Maguire." Well what do you know, she won.

Ken, it would be in your best interest to research your claims before you make them. At least they had the guts to run for office, which is more than I can say for you.
