Arizona overmatches CSULB

The Long Beach State women's tennis team (1-4) traveled to Arizona only to be overmatched by the Arizona Wildcats, 9-0, and the Arizona State Sun Devils, 9-0.

On Friday, Arizona (3-3) was led by Lindsay Blau's defeating of 49er Lara Spica 6-3, 6-0.

The University of Arizona also dominated The Beach in doubles.

Thursday's scores against Arizona State (2-2) looked much the same.

Connie Burggraf was the only 49er to win three games on Thursday, but still lost to Sun Devil Karin Palme 6-3, 6-2.

Arizona State was too much for The Beach to contend with in doubles as well.

The 49ers next travel to UC Irvine on Wednesday to compete at 1:30 p.m.
