Titans put on probation

Cal State Fullerton was put on probation by the NCAA for four years for alleged rules infractions during the 1993 - 94 men's basketball season.

The Titans, Big West Conference members, were also restricted from giving scholarships to community college transfers for three years. This decision came from the NCAA on Thursday.

Bill Schumard, Long Beach State athletic director, was the Titans athletic director until he resigned in 1994. Brad Holland, basketball coach at the University of San Diego, was head coach.
