Food selection on campus hurting

As students, we come here to feed our minds. While we are on campus consuming all the knowledge we can, what are we feeding our bodies? If you take a look at the choices we have for fuel, they are limited and above all, unhealthy.

While we are relatively young and still have the opportunity to shape and mold our futures, we should also consider shaping and molding our bodies. Although you can trade in your clothes or car when they wear out, you are stuck with your body until the end.

If you take a stroll through our "international" food court, you find an array of food from south of the border Taco Bell, around the world Panda Express, the Italian cuisine of Tomassitos' and the Californian Boar's Head. All of which may satisfy a hungry student, but how much grease can we handle?

If you want a food establishment that is remotely concerned with ingredients, Culinary Wrap's comes the closest here. Culinary Wrap's participates in the "healthy choice" program with nutritional information about their food available upon request.

As a senior here on campus, I have seen many people through the years pack on those pounds that we all know are not as easy to shed as they used to be. If we take the time to monitor our eating, and set aside 30 minutes a day for (oh no) exercise, not only will we feel better about ourselves, but also our bodies will thank us in the long run.
