Jenny Hilt, head coach for the 49er women's tennis team, is hosting the annual summer tennis camp for children ages 5-18.
Proceeds from the camp will help pay for team travel and other expenses.
Hilt along with assistant coach Cory Crigger and some of the tennis players will provide instruction to the kids.
The event, which is held at the 49er Tennis Courts, serves as a fund raiser for the women's tennis team.
Proceeds from the camp will help pay for team travel and other expenses, Hilt said . The cost to join the camp is $95.00 per child.
"Since this is a fund raising event for us, we can't go too low," Hilt said. "But, a discount will be given to families who enroll more than one child or for a child who enrolls in more than one session."
There will be six one-week sessions this summer. The first session started June 29. Subsequent sessions will be held every Monday through the month of July.
The camp is designed to give instruction to children interested in tennis, regardless of their skill level.
The camp is open to beginning, intermediate and advanced players.
There was a good turnout for the first session. Approximately 24 children attended.
