The 10th annual Taste of Orange County, a three-day music and culinary festival, takes place June 26 to 28 at the U.S. Marine Corps Air Station in El Toro.
Friday, June 26, the festival features live performances by B.B. King and James Cotton beginning at 9 p.m.
Saturday, June 27, the festival highlights live ska music from The Untouchables, reggae from Common Sense and Sapadilla, folk tunes from The Missiles, rhythm and blues songs from The Wild Bunch, Tom Nolan and Strong Medicine and comedy acts from members of the Improv Comedy Club.
Sunday, June 28, from 8 to 9:30 p.m., swing band, Johnny and the Big Shots will swing up a storm of music in a festival's nightclub.
Recorded smooth jazz songs by Joe Sample and Jeff Lorber will be played all weekend long by a KTWV disc jockey.
Along with music, more than 30 Orange County restaurants will offer samples of original dishes, while their chefs demonstrate various preparation techniques.
The festival is expected "to draw about 90,00 people," according to Joyce Scherer and Jill Lloyd, publicists for the event.
