The latest Tori Amos release, "From the Choir Girl Hotel," brims over with piping hot melodies and vocals, offering listeners another intelligent and moving sequence of song, meticulously crafted and performed by Amos.

Amos, a gifted songstress and musician who never goes unnoticed, is already famous for her first four albums. Additionally, her concert dates are sold out through September.

Amos who has appeared on both David Letterman and Jay Leno performing the hit song, "Spark," from her new album. "Spark" is a cutting edge piano driven song featuring nail-biting lyrics and room-shaking percussion.

According to an Atlantic Records press release, many of "From The Choir Girl Hotel's" songs were inspired by a miscarriage Amos experienced a year and a half ago. Allusions to pregnancy parade throughout these new songs.

The song "Spark" offers "She's convinced she could hold back a glacier, but she couldn't keep baby alive."

As for the rhythms and instrumentals on this album, Amos uses the aids of hyper bases, ground rolling percussion and screeching guitars more than she ever has before, to accompany her voice and piano. The overall sound is so cutting edge that all instrumentals bleed right into each other and in some cases purposely overpower Amos' vocals.

The album as a whole boasts a number of sensational songs. Stand-outs include "Cruel," "Black-Dove," "Iieee," "Liquid Diamonds" and the ear twisting "She's Your Cocaine."

"From the Choir Girl Hotel" is a smash album that should be owned by all Amos fans.
