Union papers trashed

Aislin Ard, Long Beach Union editor in chief, said she suspected Associated Students Inc. officials of removing Union newspapers from campus newsstands Monday afternoon, just hours after delivery.

Matt Puentes, Union business manager, went to the Recycling Center Monday afternoon and saw stacks of Union newspapers that were collected for possible recycling, Ard said.

Officials at the Center were not available for comment.

Ard said she suspects someone removed the papers in retaliation of a Grunion article, but the Daily Forty-Niner was unable to confirm her suspicion.
