The 23rd annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach broke the record for attendance this weekend with more than 215,000 patrons attending the three day event.
The cheers and jeers of the crowd could only be drowned out by the roar of 27 engines racing to win.
Alex Zanardi stood in the winners circle when the dust and fumes settled. Mauricio Gugelmin was runner up and Scott Pruett placed third.
