Third party votes more meaningful
Bob Thayer in his letter to the editor
in the Feb. 22 Daily Forty-Niner basically accused the American public
of being too "apathetic or lazy" to vote.
I think most American people are smart
enough to know that their votes are essentially meaningless in this one-party,
corporate-controlled country.
Even when third parties run viable candidates
who want to talk about real issues, the mega-media usually blackball them.
When Ralph Nader announced his bid for the presidency in Washington on
Feb. 21, the big networks were all there with cameras running.
Furthermore, it is almost impossible for
third party candidates to get on the ballot in many states.
Thayer urged readers to vote and invited
them to consider joining him in voting for McCain on March 7. I also urge
you to vote and invite you to consider joining me in voting for Green Party
candidate Ralph Nader.
Even though the major media are not covering
it yet, Ralph is running. |
