Vol.7, No 120, May 15-18, 2000
[Opinion]

Good luck, good wishes, congratulation

I want to wish all of you good luck on your final exams and class projects. For those of you who are graduating this month, I look forward to seeing you at the commencement ceremonies. Please take a moment to introduce me to your families.

For those of you who are scheduled to return next semester but are not planning to take courses here during the summer, I look forward to seeing you in the fall.

I hope all of you have great plans for summer vacation.  I want all of our new Cal State Long Beach graduates keep in touch and take the opportunity to visit your alma mater often.

However, before commencement festivities start on May 23, I want you to plan to attend our next big picnic on Saturday afternoon to commemorate the 50th birthday of The BEACH. Bring your blanket, friends and family to enjoy the exciting music and activities planned for the celebration.

I am starting my seventh year this month as your president at CSULB. I've never been happier, professionally or personally. This really is a very good university, and I love being your president.

Go Beach.
Robert Maxson
CSULB President
