POLICE LOG

Mar. 1
  • A briefcase with a gold bracelet was stolen from Room 213 in the University Student Union. The loss totaled $205.

  •  
  • An unknown amount of cash was stolen from in the Nursing Building.
Mar. 2
  • A vehicle with expired registration tags was towed from the 6300 block of State University Drive.

  •  
  • An intoxicated female juvenile was detained by campus police around 1 a.m. after reports of public intoxication. Police notified the girl's mother, who picked her up.
Mar. 3
  • A student walked into the campus police department and reported that someone had stolen her cellular phone and cash from the Physical Education Building. The loss is estimated at $140.

  •  
  • A vehicle was burglarized in Lot 14. A white 1982 Toyota Corolla was broken into with nothing taken.
Mar. 4
  • A knapsack was stolen from a student in the Main Library. The loss totaled $50.

  •  
  • A purse was stolen from the Main Library West. The loss totaled $122.
Mar. 5
  • A book was stolen from the East Third Floor of the Main Library. The loss totaled $120.
Mar. 6
  • A victim reported that his cellular phone was stolen when he left his vehicle unsecured near the Visitor Information Center.  He told police he left the passenger window down and the phone on the passenger seat.

  •  
  • A wallet was stolen after the victim left it for more than two hours in an unlocked office in the Psychology building.  When the victim returned, the wallet was gone.
Mar. 7
  • A wallet was stolen from Faculty Office building 2, office 112, after the victim left the room unsecured.
Mar. 8
  • A vehicle was burglarized in the parking lots outside of the Parkside Commons. The loss was a $200 stereo.

  •  
  • A vehicle with 13 unpaid parking citations and expired registration tags was towed from Lot 17.

  •  
  • A fight broke out just before 2 p.m. on a city bus en route to CSULB.  After the bus stopped near the Foundation Building fountain, the two men stepped off the bus and continued their mutual combat until officers arrived. The case was referred to the District Attorney's office for further review and no injuries were reported. A report was not filed.
