A man on his bicycle on campus was struck
by a car Wednesday afternoon.
A female, 17, in a red Nissan Sentra
hit Brian Carlon, 44, around 3:20 p.m. as he crossed Earl Warren Drive,
said Officer Mike Whitcomb of the Long Beach Police Department.
While driving westbound on Atherton, the
Los Alamitos resident was making a left onto Earl Warren Drive and then
struck the cyclist, Whitcomb said.
He was taken by ambulance to Long Beach
Memorial Hospital, Whitcomb said. Carlon was treated and released for minor
lacerations, said Terri Starkman, a spokesperson for the hospital. |
