An employee at the University Bookstore was arrested Wednesday for burglary.

Lisa Weisbrod, an employee of Forty-Niner Shops Inc., was taken into custody Wednesday morning on suspicion of taking money while cashiering, said Lt. Stan Skipworth of University Police.

After questioning, Weisbrod was booked for burglary and transferred to Long Beach City Jail. After posting $15,000 bail, Weisbrod was released at 9:35 a.m. Thursday morning, according to a jail spokesman. A trial date has not been set.

Bookstore Director Fred Neely declined to comment.
