Dear Editor:
Matt Traum's editorial in Tuesday's Daily Forty-Niner contains a statement which may be misleading to Cal State Long Beach students.
A clarifying comment seems appropriate.
In the second paragraph Mr. Traum states "...while up to 50 percent of a course grade may be determined in any short two-hour period." This refers to final exams.
CSULB students should be reminded that it is university policy that as stated on page 79 of the course catalog, that"In no case shall the grade on the final examination count for more than one-third of the course grade."
