Blast to past

The beast from the East, known as The Jackyl, is back with its best of hits album titled, "Choice Cuts."

If you are looking for whiny, feel-sorry-for-yourself music, then this album would probably not be a good choice.

CD REVIEW

The album opens with a cover of Grand Funk's "American Band," a song for when you are getting ready to go out and party old-school style.

Jesse Dupree's vocals are reminiscent of Bon Scott of AC/DC. Remember the old days of dueling lead guitars?

The band's hits from the past like "The Lumberjack Song," brings back the days of long and greasy hair. The album will make you want to put on a pair of ripped jeans and baseball-style concert shirt and rock out.

If you are sick of new-age band members complaining about what super model they are dating, come to the dark side and party with a band that will never get any.
