The audience members roared wildly when Garth stopped and asked them to sing the third verse of "Friends in Low Places."
"Because it's only here [in concert] where you can find the mysterious third verse that goes on the end of that song," shouted country music singer Garth Brooks during the taping of his newly released "Double Live Garth Brooks" album.
Unfortunately, if one has never heard Garth in concert it is difficult to decipher all of the words of this mysterious verse.
Despite this slight frustration Garth's live album succeeds in making one feel the power and excitement of being at one of his concerts without actually being there.
The new album comes with the option of numerous different covers including one from his recent world tour.
Garth livens up, tones down and adds personality to 22 of his most popular songs.
The audience members are heard singing along with their favorite songs during the live recordings.
Included on the two-disk album are three songs which were not previously released by Garth, including a duet with Trisha Yearwood called "Wild As The Wind."
Although it is labeled a duet, it seems that Trisha sings mostly background vocals.
This is a little disappointing considering the first duet they recorded, "In Another's Eyes," was an incredible song displaying both musicians' talents.
"It's Your Song" is another beautiful slow song new on this album. In it Garth recognizes that his dreams have come true with the help of special angels in his life.
"Tearin' It Up (And Burnin' It Down)," is a boot-stomping fun song likely to make country line-dancers want to kick up their heels and tear up the dance floor.
All in all, Garth's Double Live album is well worth the money, especially
since most stores are selling it at half the suggested retail price.
