Jonathan Taylor Thomas is Jake Wilkinson, a self-absorbed college student who right before Christmas wakens to find himself stranded in the middle of a California desert wearing a Santa suit and a white beard glued to his face.

MOVIE REVIEW

Members of his high school football team think that he double crossed them and so they decided to get revenge. That leaves Jake with the problem of getting back to New York by 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve to catch up with his girlfriend Allie (Jessica Biel) who is being seduced by Eddie (Adam Lavorgna) the school stud.

As Jake desperately hitchhikes his way back east, everyone he meets unwittingly sets into motion a comedy of errors as they look to the mistaken Santa for help and advice.

The movie is full of twists and turns that keep the audience members glued to their seats.

Jake not only is confused by his situation, but has to deal with his long trek home and must get back in order to keep his girlfriend.

The movie is set into motion by continuous errors involving a series of eccentric and amusing characters who both help and hinder the lost Santa Claus find his way home.
