Mickey Mouse hip-hop

Despite the fact that every week my column gets watered down, edited, cut and pasted by the powers that be, I'm still trying to do what I can.

I'm trying hard to tread that fine line between the Nickelodeon stuff and the information that you want to hear.

Is Mickey Mouse hip-hop better than no hip-hop? Probably not, but like I said, I'm doing all that I can. Regardless, I have this spot to bring you the positive, not to complain.

And positive news I do have. Two four-man elite fleets of emcees have been rumored to be forming up, and it looks like it is a done deal.

Common, Jeru the Damaja, Black Thought (three of the Top 15 emcees out right now period,) and Pharaoh Monch are collaborating to form the Psychic Union.

Ras Kass, Killah Priest, Kurupt, and Canibus are coming together to form the Four Horsemen. Just the thought makes me bob my head.

This week check out the "Belly" soundtrack featuring Nas, DMX, and Method Man, keep your eyes open for Def Jam's movie of the same title.

Also look for the Flip Squad All-Star DJ's new self titled album, featuring among others, Funk Flex and Biz Markie.
