Star shines bright

I hyped it up endlessly, so now you probably want to know if it is really that good. Yes. Black Star's first album, which premiered last week definitely lives up to its expectations.

The album is truly spiritual and contains thoughtful lyrics, good production, quality cameos and jungle bass lines similar to those on ATCQ's groundbreaking "The Low End Theory."

Also in stores is the comeback effort from Brand Nubian. With beats by Diamond D., Primo and Lord Finesse.

Many people were questioning whether these musicians could get back together and create cosmic vibes, but "Foundation" should lay all the naysayers to rest.

Oh yeah, and Outkast getting five microphones in the Source? Do not believe your friendly fashion publication.

In stores this week is Kurupt's "Kuruption" and Cypress Hill's "Cypress Hill 1V."

Get ready for a greatest hits album from EPMD and yet another album from Too Short, which is possibly a greatest hits, or maybe the whole retirement thing is hyped. Peace.
